Lighting Update

One of the little details that makes a big difference in the appearance of our community is our garage coach lights. As we've been walking the neighborhood, we've noticed that some fixtures are beginning to rust, while others are simply in need of a fresh coat of paint.

We are happy to report many neighbors have opted to replace the old lights with the new lights and the word is they've been very happy with the updated look of the new ligthts. Whether you live on the lane or the court please take a minute to check out the homes that have updated to the new lights. We think you will agree that they are a nice imporvement.

Please Note: If your existing light is still in good condition:

Back in early August, we recommended giving your existing light a fresh coat of black exterior paint to make them look like new. If your fixture only needs painting, you have until January 31st to have it painted. After that date, installation of a new light will be required.

If your light has rusted beyond repair: Unfortunately, the original fixture has been discontinued. After researching several alternatives, the Board has found a replacement that closely matches the original style. You can purchase it on Amazon:

Once you have the new fixture, you can:

  • Install it yourself if you're comfortable doing so.

  • Hire your own handyman.

  • Contact Ozzy's Handyman Service: 386-679-4502 , who has offered the following pricing to our homeowners:

    • $30 per new light for installation

    • $50 per light for painting

Whether your light needs a little paint or a complete replacement, taking care of it now will help keep our neighborhood looking attractive and well-maintained. When each homeowner does a small part, together we preserve the beauty and value of our entire community.

Thank you for helping keep Prestwick II a neighborhood we're all proud to call home!

Warm regards,

The Prestwick II HOA Board
