What a great morning it was at the Gazebo on April 18 as neighbors gathered for the very first Prestwick Townhomes II Garden Club meeting. From the moment everyone arrived, there was a warm and welcoming energy in the air. With refreshments, smiles, and plenty of conversation, it was clear this group is off to a fantastic start.

The meeting began with a friendly introduction that helped set the tone for what this club is all about—community, connection, and collaboration. Neighbors had the chance to get to know one another through a fun and engaging icebreaker. Sharing where we’re from, how long we’ve lived in the community, and what inspired us to join the Garden Club sparked meaningful conversations and helped build a sense of belonging right from the start.
As the discussion continued, the focus shifted toward enhancing our shared spaces. There was a lot of enthusiasm as residents came together to brainstorm ideas for beautifying and improving areas throughout the community. It was exciting to see so many thoughtful suggestions and a genuine desire to work together to make Prestwick II even more enjoyable for everyone. The collaborative spirit was strong, and it’s clear that this group is ready to turn ideas into action.
We were especially glad to have a wonderful group of neighbors in attendance, including Celine Steinmiller, Sue Duff, Fran Yarsley, Patt Dewees, Laura Manzo, Patti Mcklin, Ken Fehner, Michele Lamando, and Viviana Criado. Their participation and ideas helped make the morning both productive and enjoyable.
The meeting wrapped up with a look ahead, as conversations began around developing a plan and timeline to bring these ideas to life. There’s a shared excitement about what’s possible, and this first gathering laid a strong foundation for what’s to come.
