There’s nothing better than living in a neighborhood where people look out for each other, say hello on walks, and take pride in their surroundings. Being a good neighbor isn’t just about waving hello—it’s also about showing respect, especially when it comes to our daily routines and shared spaces.
Leash Up for Safety and Courtesy
Let’s start with a simple but essential rule: All dogs must be on a leash at all times when outside your property. This isn’t just a rule—it’s a commitment to safety for everyone in the neighborhood. Dogs off-leash can present a risk to others, including other dogs, children, seniors, or anyone who may feel uneasy around animals.
Just as importantly, an unleashed dog is at risk themselves. A dog running into the street, getting lost, or confronting another animal is a very real danger. Keeping your dog on a leash is the kindest thing you can do—for them and for the people around you.
Clean Up After Your Pet—Every Time
Another key part of being a respectful dog owner: Always clean up after your dog. No exceptions.
It’s been pointed out that some pet owners are not doing their part. Not only is this unpleasant and unsanitary, it’s also unfair to the rest of the community. Leaving pet waste behind isn’t just disrespectful—it’s a health hazard. Please come prepared with bags and dispose of them properly.
Respecting Trash and Recycling Guidelines
We all want our community to look clean and welcoming—and that includes managing our trash responsibly. Trash pickup is currently scheduled for Wednesdays, and we ask that you please do not place any items at the curb earlier than the evening before pickup.
Several times over the past year, trash has been placed at the curb a day or two after collection, meaning neighbors were left to look at bags, bins and old furniture for nearly an entire week. This isn't just unsightly—it’s inconsiderate. Following the pickup schedule keeps the neighborhood beautiful and free from unnecessary clutter.
When setting out recycling, please make sure that lighter materials like paper and plastic bottles are secured under heavier items. This simple step helps prevent them from blowing into streets or neighbors’ yards—keeping our environment clean and avoiding extra cleanup for others.
Keeping Driveways Clutter Free
Finally, please remember that driveways should be kept clear of all items except vehicles. At the end of the day, be sure to put away anything you’ve used—like grills, tools, ladders, etc. A clean, clutter-free driveway not only enhances curb appeal but also shows consideration for your neighbors and helps create a welcoming, well-kept community we can all be proud of.
It’s About Community
Being a good neighbor means thinking beyond your own yard. It means doing your part to make our streets and shared spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone. Together, we can continue to build a community we’re all proud to call home.
